Accuvein, provider of vein illumination devices, wanted a positionable arm accessory to support hands-free use of its device. Once a vein is located, the arm frees up the clinician’s hands to perform other procedures.
Function designed, engineered, and provided manufacturing support for the arm. The cradle allows single-handed device insertion and removal and is attached to the counterbalanced arm by a friction-based ball joint for micro-positioning. Joint mechanisms support the desired range of motion and allow wire passage for cradle charging.
